HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRISHA!!!

YAY I'm so glad y'all are starting to post. This is so exciting. I must start by saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRISHA and welcome to the Quarter-Century Club. What a great year you have ahead for you lady!! It really is only the beginning of great things to come. I really cannot believe that you graduated...and I will forever regret not being able to be there to see you walk across the stage. I look forward to hearing about the great things ahead.

Bec - I think this will be a great medium for you to stay in touch with us. I know at times I force you to talk on the phone but I cannot go too long without hearing your voice. =)

Also, HAPPY MARDI GRAS!! I cannot wait to actually be able to go to New Orleans one day to celebrate and partake in the craziness that ensues during this time. I defintely think there would be some memories made. Have any of you guys every been to New Orleans during Mardis Gras? You know, this is also the beginning of Lent for my Catholic friends out there. I'm not a strong practicing Catholic but this year I'm feeling compelled to give up a few things and to even get to church for Ash Wednesday, etc. I am posting on here everything I'm giving up as a way to hold me accountable: pizza, cupcakes, ice cream and, most importantly, tequila.

I hope you all are having a great start to the week! I know I am...especially since I've been indoors amidst snowy/blizzard conditions for the past 11 days. I am definitely excited to get back in the swing of things. Damn that Groundhog for seeing his shadow!!

Can't wait to hear from the rest of you soon!! =)

Hello Girls!

Hey Girls,

Although I need to be studying I just could not resist saying hello! Hope all is well with you girls! I am so excited that Johnna set this up! Great Idea!

So just a quick update because I do have to get back to the dreadful barbri books: I graduated last weekend! Yay! It was a really wonderful day! A day that I doubted would ever come. It has been an emotional but very worthwhile 3 years.

I take the Bar Exam next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, please say a little prayer for me because I definately need it. AFTER THAT, it is Austin bound!

I am so excited to be back in Austin I can hardly stand it!

I hope to see all of you at the Lonestar Anniversary! Have a wonderful day girls, I cannot wait to hear what you have all been up to and how you have been doing!

Becca, sorry to hear about your Aunt. Your family is in my prayers, please be careful driving to Nederland!

PS: Is anyone going to see LC Rocks the Thursday before the Lonestar Bash?

I have attached a pic so that you can see my nightmare haha! Love ya'll!

REBECCA HERE

Hi Friends!

I'll be the first to start this little friendship shin dig. There are a few things I would like to say:

1. I do not like talking on the phone anymore. I talk on the phone all day long to people about their problems and frustrations, so when 6:00 o'clock hits, I am done with phone conversations.
BUT I do admit, I owe you girls more phone conversations. Each of you. So, I do apologize.
So this will definitely be a nice avenue for keeping in touch with what is going on in your personal lives.

2. Good luck on the bar, Trish! Come back and post some shit when you're done.

3. Johnna - Great idea and I cannot wait to come and visit in April!, Jaime- Phone date soon, please. I hope you're kicking Fox's ass, Tina- hope school is going well. I miss you.
IF I FORGOT SOMEONE, I didn't know you were a part of this -- sorry.

On a more somber note, I have to go to my Aunt's funeral tomorrow. I am headed to Nederland in about an hour for all of that. I hate funerals. (Dad's younger sister, not even 50, she had a prescription pill addiction and was just in overall bad health)

That is all.

Love you guys.
P.S. Is this blog private? I hope..because...you know how self disclosing I can be....

We're starting a blog!!

Hello friends! Thank you all so much for being open to starting a blog. I added some people that I did not initially email so if you receive the invitation and are a little confused I apologize. Basically, I've been thinking about ways to stay in better touch with friends around Texas and the country. It's so tough to keep in touch about what everyone's up to. I thought we could utilize this blog as a way to stay informed about eachother's lives as well as to keep eachother close. If you can post once a week or so that would be great! I know we are all busy so whatever works best for you...this is purely for our benefit. Let me know if you have any suggestions and if you want to invite other people to contribute please let me know. Let the blogging begin! =)
